I really really want this game to succeed and I hope with all the content they release over the next year that it will become a BF gem just like how BF4 had a rough start bug wise I hope this game will change the minds of people that hated it because of the marketing over time. The marketing team for BF1 did an amazing job and that game is not as fun as this game. Why in the world would you try to get today's politics and social issues into a WWII historic game? Why? Why try to force and paint a different lens on history? When you try to bring todays politics into a historic game that will obviously piss off a lot of the fan base. You will notice by the average user score on here. But they some how manage to completely screw the marketing for this game up.

I'm a WWII fanatic and I've waited since the first release of BF for a full complete WWII battlefield game to come out again. I don't know how it was possible to completely screw up a WWII Battlefield game. Now the glaring obvious problems this game had even before launch. It would have been cool to do it like BF4 and have the DMR style weapons universal across the classes. They need some weapons that can reach out a bit further. I don't like how the planes in the game have weird looking damage models. Then when the time runs out for the revive it suddenly jumps and flops around all crazy like. It looks really weird when you kill someone and their ragdoll flops all over then jumps to the help for revive animation. They make the players look like they are filled with air.

Another things that bugs me or rather pulls me out of the experience are the wacky ragdolls. Especially on that blown out Rotterdam map. I really hate that it's so easy to get caught on the map geometry. Nothing as bad as the release of BF4 but still annoying. The bugs in this game are a bit annoying for me as well. I would have rather they focused on multiplayer like the original BF1942 game and maybe just make a singleplayer of the multiplayer maps with just bots, so you could practice flying or other techniques. They did only have 2 years to make a singleplayer experience and that is definitely not long enough. I really wish they never even tried to make a singleplayer for this. The only time I actually feel like it's wwII is when I'm on the German team. You feel like some random group of rebels or "Resistance" fighters. When you play as the British you don't feel like the British in WWII. Hopefully once all the maps and content are out it will. So overall this game doesn't really have that WWII feel at the moment. But they are going for some reason with "untold stories" which is not as exciting. I also wish there were some iconic WWII maps and battles. I much rather enjoy Battlefield's huge massive all out war battlefields and those are the maps I enjoy playing which are a few. A lot of them are small infantry focused maps.

I was also disappointed with some of the maps. But I was excited to see some iconic WWII weapons. You could argue that was the same with BF3 and BF4. So the release content feels a bit minimal. The gun play is fantastic! The sounds are fantastic! The only downsides to it I believe are that Dice had to use a lot of manpower to build an array of cosmetic items. The gun play is fantastic! The sounds are fantastic! The only downsides to it I believe are This game is fun.
